Tiger increases flights to Thailand

Tiger Airways Singapore today announced that it will fly to Thailand more frequently to serve growing demand. Starting from 20 April 2010, Tiger Airways will fly daily from Singapore to Krabi and Hat Yai.

United confirms order for 25 Airbus A350s

United has formalized a commitment originally announced in December 2009, signing a firm order for 25 A350-900 XWB aircraft, the newest twin-engine widebody from Airbus. The aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. Deliveries of the aircraft will begin in 2016 and run through 2019.

Gold Coast international arrivals climb 2.3% in 2009

International visitors to the Gold Coast increased 2.3% in the 12 months from January 2009 to December 2009, and they spent just over $1 billion in the tourism capital according to figures released today by Tourism Research Australia.
