Dubai Races unveils new Meydan racecourse

(8 March 2010): The recent unveiling of the world’s largest racecourse – Meydan – has reinforced Dubai’s credentials as a top sporting destination and an unparalleled centre of elite horseracing. Housed within the wider Meydan City, the racecourse has already become a focal point for the international racing season, particularly the Dubai World Cup – the world’s richest horse race – which takes place on 27 March 2010.

Featuring the longest race tracks in the world – an all-weather track at 1750m and a turf track of 2400m – Meydan offers a challenging but rewarding course for riders.
